How can I follow a trail on an Edge 830?

Hi everyone

short beginners question. From my (very old) Garmin I am used to follow trails instead doing a navigation along a route. Is this still possible on an Edge 830? What I mean is I see just the map with a coloured line (the track) and I can change the zoom of the map manually.

Yes. That's what I mostly do for mtb trails. Go to the saved courses and click on the course. Click on settings, and then select always display. It will then show up on the map.
