Cannot upload activity - upload failed.

I've had a ride today.

Saved the activity.

I have auto upload feature (both in GC app and 830 itself) off.

Latest GC app on my Android phone and 9.4 FW on 830.

830 went to sleep. Later I have turned it on (woke up from sleep) and I keep on trying to upload the ride, a number of times, but I keep on getting "upload failed".

Restarted the phone, turned off 830 and turned back on. Not helped.

830 syncs with the phone OK.

Turned off WiFi option on 830, still nothing. Turned off an don BT on the phone, nothing.

What next??

Never had problems with uploading activities with Wahoo ... but Garmin ?? Right from the beginning.

  • Maybe try plugging into laptop and sync with Garmin Express.  Maybe that will clear some bugs out.  Just a guess at something easy to try.

  • Thnx. I don't use Windows on a daily basis, but will try that tomorrow.
For now I've re-paired 830 with my phone, and the activity got uploaded straight away. But when pairing Garmin device with the GC app/phone, the auto upload gets activated, but I think this option enables auto upload right after saving activity.

  • I have had also troubles with upload activities with firmware 930. For me was the solution a soft reset of the garmin edge 830.

  • I've noticed that when the Auto Upload in GC app if set to OFF, cannot manually upload an activity.

How was it in your case?
I am willing to report this as a bug ... resetting the device and setting it all back a from a start ... ugh!!! :(
