It seems that my Edge810 is stucked in a diagonostic screen and I'm not able to get out ofcthis mode. The buttons aren't stucked.

I have just started having this problem with my 820 today. No buttons stuck. Tried three button reboot. Does not work. :-(

and interestingly enough it booted up with all my settings in tact.

Hi, I have a similar problem. Were you abke to solve the issue?

For most Garmin devices...

To get out of the diagnostic menu press and hold the power button until the unit powers off
Press the power button again to turn the unit on and into normal operating mode

I struggled with this for several weeks trying all the power up and down options including trying a Mac and PC. I finally realized I had another cord which worked immediately!

Update: the new cord failed on me today, but after sliding the connector in and out several time it started working but then failed again... For now it is charging but so I will use if for a display while my rides are recoded by iPhone in my bag... Grrrr
