Are the 830 and 530 mounts the same?

I am close to buying an 830.
In a few weeks, I am going to borrow a friends gravel bike. He uses a 530. I tried searching around and could not find anything definitive. Are the mounts for the 830 and 530 the same? will the 830 I purchase just snap nicely into place on his 530 mount?

All of the Garmin Edge mount sockets (the "quarter turn") are the same (starting with the Edge 800, which is sbout 10 years old).

Some of the Edges (like the 1030+) are longer and require a longer mount. The shorter units can fit on any-lengthed mount.

The 830 and the 530 are the same size.

Can also 1040 solar be mounted in edge 1030 mount?

Currently I do have 1030/Varia mount in multiple bikes and would not like to start to buy new ones for each.

Yes.

All the Edges use the same mount socket.

The bigger units (1000/1030/1040) do need a longer arm.
