Completed activities not uploading to Connect... It just spins.

Recently, my rides are not automatically uploading to Garmin Connect once I finish the ride. When I open up the app, I see that it shows "Edge 830 - Connected" and the two arrows in the upper right corner are spinning in a circle, which would imply that it is connected and uploading. But after several minutes, nothing happens -- it just keeps spinning.

I also looked on the Edge device itself, and it shows it is connected to my phone, and "Sync Now" shows "Syncing..."

If I power off my Edge and then power back on, the activity will eventually upload.

It used to be that my rides would upload within seconds after ending the ride, and my phone would sound a notification from Connect saying "Your activity is ready to view."

Anyone else have this issue? Any idea what caused it or what the fix is? It just randomly started a few weeks ago.

How many rides are on your Garmin? If you have a lot things will go wonky. That happens when there is somewhere around 200 rides in the activities folder on the Garmin.

Maybe it is just Bluetooth gremlins?

A lot actually. I don't know the last time I deleted any. I just wiped out a bunch so will see if that helps. Thanks for the tip! Would be nice if the Edge gave a warning like "your device's memory is 80% full" or something like that.

It isn't a memory full situation. Whatever causes the limit, it isn't to do with the amount of free space in the unit's storage.

Unfortunately, deleting a bunch of rides didn't eliminate the problem. I might have to try resetting back to factory settings and reloading everything to see if that fixes it.
