Backlight going off in workout mode when lap button is pressed.

Despite having the backlight permanently set to on, when i hit lap, illumination goes off and will not come back on. I'm not sure if its only done it since firmwarre update 9.1. Anyone else come across this?

after much to’ing and fro’ing with garmin uk, they’ve had my unit back, and replacing it, but not received it yet.
