Edge 830 Backlight

Hello,

I am coming from an Edge 800 to the Edge 830. I have noticed that when the sun starts to set the display on the 830 the display is not even readable. When I road with my 800 the display would automatically change according to the sunset. The 800 has a setting to display what time the sun sets. I have not been able to find this setting. Is this setting available on the 830? it seems like this setting would be very useful in automatically making the display at dusk brighter as it did on the 800. I thought the purpose of newer devices was to make them batter for the user interface and  not remove other features, like the sunset feature.  

For the next software update can you please provide a means to change the display at dusk to make the display visible even if it is only at 10-20% brightness. I am a retired Systems Programmer and I know that this would be a few lines of simple code. From what I am reading hear on this forum, it seems to be a unanimous request. Can you please respond to customers requests to this fix?

    I would like to amend my request. I have found the Sunset feature on the Edge 830. With that being said, it only reinforces the request by the users on this forum to update the software on the Edge 830 to automatically make the display brighter when the sun sets.
