Garmin 830 edge stops recording elevation when it rains.

Hi all,

Very new to the forum but I need some help.

I have a Garmin edge 830 which is a fantastic bit of kit. But and its a big BUT, when it starts raining it stops recording elevation.

I have tried everything from protecting the sensor hole to blowing it out every 15 mins but to no avail.

over a 50km ride it can be as much a 700m out.

Please does anyone know why or can help

Have you tried changing the angle of your mount?

Its has a barometric pressure sensor, in common with so many other devices. If the air pressure wanders too much, then you get some difference.
