Edge 830 Cadence

recently purchased a 830 sensors pair Ok but the cadence sensor gives some extremely high RPM (500+) figures that just kept climbing during the ride, I removed and reconnected the sensors to see if made any difference, it didn't, anyone have a suggestion, thanks

What cadence sensor are you using?

one that attaches to the crank I had from my 810, :)

What brand? Anyway it sounds like it is faulty.

its a garmin used to read fine with the 810

Is this sensor mounted on the same bike? Also, is this the standalone cadence sensor, or the GSC 10 with the magnets?

There is nothing that has been changed from the 810 to the 830 that would cause higher readings like you have described. The Edge will report the values that are transmitted to it.

I would recommend reaching out to your local support team to see if a replacement is an option for you.
