Compass won’t calibrate

Hi all,

I noticed something strange on my 830 unit. While navigating, the arrow points in the direction of travel, but as soon as I stand still, it immediately changes. I tried to calibrate my compass but it simply refused to do so. I followed the menu and either I don’t understand the instructions or I don’t know what’s going on. On the compass widget itself, the unit always points to the NW (and jitters a bit when I rotate it).

I’ve had the unit for two weeks now, and it worked initially.

Am I doing something wrong?

Any solution to this? Figured out that this is the problem for years that navigating with my 830 is a mess?

That’s a long time ago haha, no unfortunately I never got it to work. Also was disappointed by bloated software and app that hides most common features for bikepacking. So switched to Wahoo. Not great either but better for bikepacking.
