Mapping bug after reverse route in 8.2

If you edit a route that you have ridden before to reverse it with the reverse route function in Garmin connect and then sync to 830, when you ride the route the new ‘direction of travel’ arrows, and all the navigation cues, point backwards

the new route has the correct start point but every time you get to a navigation cue it shows the junction backwards, and all of the direction of travel arrows are backwards

  • Looks like a bug, as an aside have they reduced the size of the "direction arrows" in 8.10 or 8.20? The arrows on my 530 are about twice that size and gross, 530/830 devices have same screen size/resolution, (I was running 8.00 until I reverted to 7.10)

PS - No, I measured them and the same as yours, just looks smaller

  • I think it’s probably a bug introduced by the new feature of caching the route calculation to speed up the start of riding not checking to see if anything has changed.

I edited the route rather than duplicating then reversing the new one. I suspect it would be ok with a new route.
