Open Street Maps is a Bust

So i previously switched my maps over to EU maps on my 830 from NA maps, which were resident as an NA unit. I am heading stateside next week and was looking to grab just the maps for the region I will be in. OSM has a massive que, for which it will take 5 months. I am assuming the website is down. Is there another option or do i need to back my EU maps off and replace with NA maps that will upload via Express. TIA!

Thanks! Worked like a charm. And since I use the Garmin EU map set, there is no resident gmapbmap.img file, so I can add these (customized as needed) without removing anything else.

Yes you can; although, there seems to be a limit as to the number of maps you can have. I had maps for different states that I tried to load for a vacation and the 830 wouldn't show them all. Re-downloaded one big map and it was okay. Just check that your new maps load after you copy them over.

The basemap (gmaipmap) has nothing to do with this.

The maps have an identification number. The Garmins are not happy if more than one map uses the same number.

Some of the sites that provide OSM maps let you create maps for a custom region. That would let you create one map that covers the region your vacation is in.

This isn't Openstreetmap, actually.

t's just "some guy" that uses Openstreetmap data to compile Garmin IMG maps.

This website has, unfortunately, been neglected for a while.

This site isn't any different than https://extract.bbbike.org (and others) except it has "openstreetmap" in the URL.
