Feature Request: Auto save Ride

Sometimes after a bike ride one can get distracted by neighbors and accidentally press X so the ride does not save. It would be nice to have an option in System>Data Recording to auto save when stopping the ride on the remote or on edge itself in a future firmware update.

But you have to confirm like 3 times that you want to discard?

Took it off my bike neighbor started talking so I just put it in my pocket. When I took it out it only took one touch and it didn't save. Was rather annoying as I track my progress.

how do I get my activity back if I delete it? But it might be too late, especially if you've used your Edge and recorded new activities since the accidental deletion.

Yeah it's too late but good to know it's possible thanks for the heads up. Still I don't see why we need to confirm it in the first place, since it is a GPS/Sport tracking device it would be nice to have the option in settings. Granted this is something that happens once out of human error and most likely never again.

What might be better than this is to have the ride moved to something similar to the Windows recycle bin and then actually discarded later based on some other parameter like free space. Then it wouldn't show up on the unit but could be "recovered", possibly even by adding a feature to garmin express but otherwise just by copying it from the unit's filesystem.
