830 not downloading rides

Very frustrated with my 830! I've removed and reinstalled the app, followed to a tee the instructions ... and still cannot get it to download my rides. When I press the sync button on the app it tells me my device is busy - WTF! I can't find any advice on this topic and now looking to move away from our multitude of Garmin devices as coming close to having enough! Any last ditch efforts to help out would be appreciated as have 12k kms of data stored on this thing.

Possibly a corrupt activity (fit file). Try a manual upload of your activity to Garmin Connect - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file. It is likely corrupt. Attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

Have you let Express do its thing lately (along with clearing out the old files)? My experience with Garmin devices is that get a bit "grumpy" (stop syncing over wifi or thru the app along with the odd hard reset) if you store a significant amount of activities on them.

How many files do you have in the \Garmin\Activities folder on the unit?
