Most Map POIs Vanished in Recent Update

I just noticed my Edge 830 map is not longer displaying most Points of Interest. I think it happened in one of the last 2 firmware updates when (the utterly useless) map themes was introduced. I make extensive use of POIs in my custom map to show the location of things like traffic lights, outdoor drinking fountains, etc.

Some retail POIs will appear at a zoom level of 80 when visibility is Auto.

Reverted to 7.10 and learned my lesson, if it ain't broke don't update.

They are still there, but are now controlled by the zoom level. Try zooming in a bit. The idea I think was to reduce clutter from the map

I also reverted back to to 7.10, there were a few things in 8.00 that might have been ok but the awful "direction arrows" were a complete show stopper for me as there was no switch to disable them and they completely overwhelm the map visibility
