What map formats does the unit support.

does any one know if the 830 supports mbtile formats or qct map file formats?

The reason i ask is I have free maps in these formats which i would like to use.

On top of the base maps.

Normally, all maps are in .img format. Perhaps the 830 can display custom maps with .kmz format. forums.garmin.com/.../556612
