Losing connection to Varia RTL510

I just bought the Edge 830 and have it connected to my Varia RTL510 (which I've had for over a year). Sporadically, the Edge 830 loses the connection to the RTL510. The connection does return after a minute or so. Any ideas on the cause?

Previously, I had the Edge Explore 820 and did not have this problem.

Thanks for any ideas on the cause of this problem.

    Yes they are with one or two per 50km ride for me. It’s not a major issue as it reconnects pretty much straight away and the benefits of having the radar far outweighs any negatives. Once you start using this you will never want to ride again without it.  Obviously it does not replace the need to look behind you but it’s very reassuring to know when vehicles are approaching. I also get a radar error message every now and then especially when passing temporary traffic lights and I suspect the radar system used by these lights to detect cars interferes with the Varia. You have to clear the message by tapping the screen but from my experience the radar function works and does not disconnect due to this. Hope this helps.
