There's a ton of great advice on route building and advanced stuff, but my question is much, much more basic. I learn a lot riding in my city and other places I visit just by keeping an eye on my navigation software in my car - where the "center" is generally my car with "up is current direction" and centered for standard compass directions - I'd love to find a display mode for my Edge 830 that replicates that, but in experimenting, I can't seem to center my bike position - so that I can see a few blocks in front of AND behind me - it seems to favor making the bike the very bottom of the screen - fine for routes already planned, but not great for wandering and exploring.
Is there a way to change the default position of the "you are here" cursor so that it's more centered on the map screen (one of my custom pages using 6B defaults) for both compass directions and "up is forward"?
Hope that makes sense!
