I don't know if something in the firstbeat algorythm has changed in FW 7.10 - but at the moment my VO2max is 76.
Normally it was 'estimated 67-70' for more than a year.
FTP setting is correct
MAX hr is correct
I lost 3 kg recently

What kind of powermeter do You have? If that started to measure suddenly higher than "normal" then it can cause vo2max "increasing" which is obviously a false value but if the source (the power values) is false then the calculation will be false too. And the low heart rate can fool the algorithm too, if the training load is high, your avghr goes low and your maxhr too (lets say you could hold 300w@170bpm and your maxhr was 195 3weeks ago but you had 3 very hard weeks and now you hold 300w@160bpm but your maxhr cant reach the 195bpm due to fatigue. But the Edge thinks you are so strong that you can easily hold the 300w (160/195bpm rate but it is 160/185 in reality) If you rest a week your hr will go up a bit and the vo2max value will decrease in the watch. But your real vo2max didnt changed... ) so could be many variables :)
I dual recorded this week. My smarttrainer was 5/6W lower across the entire pdc compared to my assioma duo. This time - Assioma was connected to edge 830 (instead of trainer normally)
My training load is high - but I don’t mind to get an extra restday if my body is not ready for it.
Recently I started running also (1x/ week) which gives me a score of 64. But the trend is also increasing.
I’m just a little bit sceptical with the value;) and if I want to know for sure I need to do a labtest
How much kgs are You? There is an "easy" 6min all-out test to validate the vo2max number.
Is the resting HR value correctly set?
‘calculated by fenix6’
typically between 41-45
The following 6minutes max powers are needed to the exact vo2max values with 68.5kgs:
76= 437w avg
70= 400w avg
67= 380w avg
So if You wanna know your real vo2max, go for an all-in 6minutes, and from the avgpower (not NP!) You will have the answer.
Btw i didnt notice any (significant) change from 6.xx to 7.10.
on my pdc - current best 6 minute power is 378. But that’s not all out but a fragment during a bigger ride.
However I doubt about 437. 395-400 should be more doable.
Also vo2max is about long capacity - and fueling muscles - maybe my legs are limiters
Your body ('s o2 consuption) is the limiter...
You should try the max 6mins after a proper warmup (mandatory 4 it)! maybe You will surprise yourself with a new pr on thepower curve!
How do You measure your hr to the Edge? With hr belt on your chest or via F6 hr opticalhr broadcasting? Because the optical is not reliable for training (only for rest, laying and sleep)
