use day mode navigation map in night mode device setting

Hello,

When the last update of the maps was done to europe 2020.20, I was surprised that they looked darker then normal to me.

After some testing and searching the forum.  I've found out that the maps also hava a day mode and a night mode.  And that in the previous version of the maps, there only was a day mode version.

But in my opinion,  the night mode setting of the map is to dark, contrast between the path/roades and the dark grey/dark green zones is too less.  This during the day, especially with sunglasses, and also during the night...

So does anyone know a way to have the night mode of the device (layout and data fields), in combination with the day mode of the map.

So that it looks again like this: map in day mode, device itself (and the data fields) in night mode.

    It's one setting. There's no way of changing these independently.

    I believe the map has to support both modes. If so, one could use a map that provided only daytime mode. But you'd have to find one.

    There might be an IQ custom data field that would let you change how the data field are displayed.

    Try "HM's DIY" There are six of them (so you can have different settings in different places).

    I've went for the option for another map.  (At the moment, I've installed one of openfietsmap.nl)

    Your second option seems something really interesting to try out, but at the moment, I don't think I can find the time.

    Problem is solved for me, but still, I'm wondering:

    Am I the only one who doens't like the day mode of the device (layout and data fields) and doesn't like the night mode map...?
