830 lost satellite resulting in lost data whilst on turbo

Today whilst set up on a turbo trainer with speed, cadence and HRM attached and logging correctly locked up. The unit displayed lost satellite on the top but the timer was still running on the screen. I should have not needed the link to the satellite so not sure the logic in it freezing the 830 and losing 40minutes of a session.

Unless you were using a profile that has the GPS switched off then it will search for satellites.

The standard INDOOR profile should have the GPS switched off.

Thanks for the tip, I’ve just checked my indoor profile and indeed the satellites are switched on. I have now switched them off on this profile only and will give it a spin this afternoon as I’m to soft to go out today in the snow. Cheers
