I'm having an issue with route guidance/navigation using the Trailforks & Strava ConnectIQ apps. I take the following steps:
The routes from Trailforks/Strava sync with my Edge without a problem.
I'm able to step through the process of selecting a route (either nearby or My routes).
I'm able to select which Activity Profile to launch the course with.
Here's where the problem starts. The route/course loads and then I'm shown the map screen with the selected route highlighted but the timer never starts and as long as I'm moving a blue Start icon flashes on the screen indicating the device detects movement but hasn't been started. No amount of button pushing does anything. The start button doesn't start the timer. The power button results in an error saying that I need to close the open ConnectIQ app before putting the device to sleep. The only way to get out of this condition is cancel the navigation using the 'X' button on the map screen.
This issue happens with both the Strava & Trailforks app though I haven't tried any 3rd party guidance apps. This condition does not occur when using the native Garmin Navigation functionality.
I must be doing something wrong but I can't seem to figure out what.
Edge firmware version is 7.0
