I spent countless hours adding missing trails to the Trailforks network back in October and November. They were approved and added.
Yet - they are NOT in the latest Trailforks map update for Garmin?!
Can someone from Garmin please comment on the timing for how this works?.
Would the following assumption be correct?
1. Users submit / approve maps to Trailforks (they're readily available as GPX files)
2. Trailforks has its own database of "Garmin" formatted maps for premium users. These are updated....maybe 1-2 times per year? -They don't explicitly say. I do have paid access to these maps, and unfortunately they don't appear to be updated with any of my data from months ago.
3. Garmin updates their maps (twice?) per year. Assuming they dump the Trailforks Garmin basemap data, (RATHER THAN) compiling a current version of all the Trailforks maps.
4. So I'm assuming that if my submitted trails haven't been added to the Trailforks Garmin Basemaps, then they don't make it to Garmin's version of the Trailforks maps.
Essentially - if you submit a map to trailforks, it can take a VERY long time to make it to the device without manually downloading each GPX file, making it "always visible" on the device under routes, changing the color, and dealing with the thin line width since we have no control over that.
Is this correct?
