Using multiple power meters

I have a new power meter and the left side is separate to the right side connection meaning that if I connect the left it disconnected the right is it possible to ride and keep both connected to be Able to see left right balance and ect or is only one connectable at a time

  • What power meter do you have.  Are you trying to connect with ANT+ or Bluetooth?  ANT+ is better for this.  They should have instructions on how to pair both sides.

  • Yeah. For sensors, always use ANT+ when available.  The standards for ANT+ are well established and adhered to whereas the standards for BTLE sensors is not.  On one of my bikes I use the Favero Assioma pedals connected via ANT+ and get all the supplied pedaling dynamics: l/r power, l/r power balance, pedaling efficiency, standing vs seated time, etc...They pedals connect as a single power meter via ANT+.

When first connecting a sensor that has both ANT+ and BT, it will show up on the Edge as two possible sensors, one ANT+ and one BT.  I recommend always choosing ANT+.

  • read the manual of your power meter. If you use dual sided power meters, there is always one dominant side wich transmits both sides. You connect to that side and are then able to use all benefits of dual sided power meters.
