Broken 830 screen, replace with 800 screen

I am on my 5th Garmin Edge and I always have a case on them to protect them in case they hit the ground. For some reason I took my case off and then dropped the 830 to a tile floor and broke the screen. I have my old 800 that still works. Has anyone tried replacing a broken 830 screen with one from an 800? I have watched the videos of screen replacement and it seems pretty easy.

The 800 screen surely will not fit on the 830, besides of non-matching electronics.

Just use your 800 which apart from having no bluetooth is a much better device. If only Samsung started making gps equipment!

Sorry all, I was a little tired after a ride when I posted this. The display screens are the same size, but the physical layout is different.

I'm sorry, but the 830 is a far more advanced unit than the 800. Better and faster CPU, longer battery life, a lot more features and better display.

use the 800 until your 830 is repaired
