Edge 830 display auto switches to a map when approaching a strava segment

I have the latest stable version on my edge (7.00). I have not been able to disable the screen switching to a map when approaching a strava live segment, while keeping the segments active in the background.

Here is what I have:

Segments, on my profile: Enabled (otherwise they would no even work or show up at all)
Pop-up on segment approach: Disabled.
Show screen (live segments screen): Enabled. I have even turn this off, but it still switches to a map page.

I want to be able to use the Live segments, but I like keeping the page I was using before the start of the segment. I guess that's the reason "Pop-up on segment approach" exists, but there is a bug apparently, that when you are close to one segment, a map shows up showing the distance remaining till the segment starts.. and once it starts, the map screen stays the whole segment, making me switch to my preferred page.

I hope this made sense, it is very annoying and this did not happen before to me.

I wonder if the Forksight feature is causing this - just a guess. Can you turn Forksight off and see what happens? See forums.garmin.com/.../how-to-get-forksight-working but in your case disable it.

If you have an 830, you “have” Forksight.

True, but I uninstalled it, I can´t even find it on my device options anymore.

There needs to be some additional rethinking of the segment pop-up anyway. If you're doing ANYTHING -- in the settings, modifying a data screen, whatever -- and get close to a segment, it will pop up and drop you back out. Doesn't happen often, but annoying when it does and should be easy to fix.

DanielHdz The problem is not on your Garmin, is on your STRAVA account, the "Pop-up on segment approach" you are showing on your photo is solely for the Garmin segments, not the ones on Strava.

To fix this, go to your Strava profile and make sure the segment(s) that keep showing off are not "started", I mean the golden start is OFF ( Example Started Strava )

Another way to avoid the Strava Segments to show around ant still keep them with the Stars, is to load (on your garmin) the Route you are planning to do on Navigation - Load Route , that way it will override the Strava segments and they will not show up.
