Distance total shows 10 times more than mapped route

Hi.

I've created a road bike course which shows 39 miles on the map and 39 miles on the elevation graphic (which is correct as I have cycled it many times).

However the 'Distance' total is showing 387 miles on the create course screen.

Any thoughts why this has happened?
