    Recalculation in these cases will also be sub optimal.  It is just best to turn it off for most cases.

    Hello, I just applied the upgrade (both GPS 4.80 and FW 6.25)

    I use GPS accuracy widget. This widget shows GPS figures and its accuracy. it also shows a circle which size and color depends on accuracy.

    If tunring on 830 and waiting for 1mn, accuracy is very good while not moving : less than 1m. BUT (!!) each time I start to move, even just walking, accuracy is really bad (up to 20m) : a bit like if GPS is still in my previous position. Then when I stop, accuracy become again very good. It is a bit like if GPS refresh is too slow.

    I tryied all setup (GPS, GPS+Galilleo, GPS+Glonass)

    So accuracy seems really good and HW layout also while not moving.

    Is there any option to improve refresh period as it seems the bottleneck of this Sony chipset ?

    I am not sure the battery is an issue for refresh : after 4 hours cycling, battery is at 60%.

    i think they use the inbuilt gyroscope (IMU) together with GPS data and this is the reason when You stand the GPS's accuracy looks like so "good" (but that is not the real GPS accuracy for sure :) )
