Cannot unlock map

It shows up right after i poer on the 830, what does it mean?

Re installed Trailfork map via GE, but it still says wont unlocked map data. is there other way?

This is likely the POI map or Trailforks as these are the only 2 maps that are locked.

You may want to use Garmin Express and try re-installing the maps.

How to re-install those map via GE? and also when i tried to update the EU map it shows error, but i was able to update the NA map. Thanks for replying

With Trailforks you may need to login to the Trailforks app on the Edge to get the unlock.

i did and was asked to Authorized, but stii shows map data cannot be unlocked

I think you will need to contact Garmin support. There is not much that can be done in the field with regards to unlocking maps.

I think I figured out a work-around. At least the maps are being downloaded to my 830!

Go into IQ on the Edge. Select Trailforks. When asked if you want to log into Trailforks, select the X (not the checkmark). You will then get a Trailfoks page with My Routes. These are ones that you have saved in your Wishlist on Trailforks. The first time you open a map, it will doiwnload to your Edge, and then be saved under Saved Courses.

Seems kind of kludgy, but it works, and I didn't have to uninstall/reinstall anything.
