Resistance drop out when intervals change

Hi,

I've been doing indoor training on my Kickr Core using the Edge 830 to control the unit. I have downloaded my Todays' Plan workouts to the Garmin and use freeride mode when cycling on heart rate zones. My problem is that every time the intervall change the trainer drops out of freeride mode and gives me no resistance. I then have to go in the menus and select freeride mode again, every time. That's frustrating specially whrn doing short intervall work. I guess i'll try to use resistance mode next time to see if the problem occurs even then. Any suggestions on my issue or similar problems for someone else?

Todays Plan support said they don't have anything to do about the issue because according to them they do not controll the trainer.

  • i have the same problem, did you solve it?

  • I have the same problem too, 1030 with Elite Arion Digital trainer. One workaround is to use the phone app for your trainer to set the resistance first. But it shouldn't need to be like this - there should be native support from Garmin for this. I have raised it as a an issue today and this is what they said...

I am afraid there is not a workaround at this time. I can look at getting this requested/ reported as a feature request but it does of course depend on demand, so other people may need to report they want this feature

So if you suggest it too, either through product support online or using email address product.support **at** garmin.com perhaps they will take notice and sort it. I don't believe that they really pay any attention to discussions about features through the forum.
