What is the latest version of Garmin maps?

I have the new FW 6.00, but the maps are still the version 10.2019 (Garmin Cycle Map EU North East 2019.10, Garmin Cycle Map EU South West 2019.10, Garmin Geocode Map EU 2019.10), and the more generic ones INTL Standard Basemap and Garmin DEM Map EU 2017.20.

I know about OpenStreetMap, but I am looking to use Garmin provided ones.

The actual maps are version 2020.10 (e.g. GarminCycleMap EU, South West,2020.10). Check your Garmin Express to download the new maps.

Thanks - if the maps can only be updated in Garmin Express, that's why. I don't have a Windows machine, and GE doesn't run on Linux. As the firmware is updated through Garmin Connect on mobile, I hoped the maps would be the same. That's too bad - need to get hold of a Windows box.
