Version 6.00 Update has silenced the tone on my Edge 830

I gave in an updated my software on my Edge 830 to v. 6.00.... now the tones don’t work at all. Will this be fixed in what I hope will be a soon released v. 6.01?

Try to go to the System menu, disable the tone and enable it again.

I would like the tones to be like in FW 5.50 again. I really REALLY miss "DOWNLOAD COMPLETE", "RIDE UPLOADED", "PHONE CONNECTED" and all the beeps that did and no longer does. Please Garmin, revert this…

Downgrade to an earlier release version (5.10) and see if they come back.

Changes made from version 5.50 to 6.00:

Removed unnecessary beeps for notifications that don't need them

Is there a list of which "unnecessary" beeps were removed? During my first ride since the upgrade, I didn't get a single beep, but maybe I am suffering from the same as the OP. I turned off and on, and now I did get a beep when I received a phone call.

Regardless, I didn't consider any of the old beeps unnecessary personally, so I'd like to see a list.

Thre is no public list. You should ask Garmin Support.
