Had the same issue. The GPS Software was Stuck on 2.90 (with a "!" on the info screen) and Galileo was gone. Since on the edge there was nothing in the update-menu, I connected the Edge to Garmin Express…
Nothing about intensy minutes, nothing about the faulty physio true up. The device will remain in the box.
intensity minutes have nothing to do with Edge 830, it's part of a Garmin watch…
and True Up without Physio is something different, if you have multiple activity trackers (Edge isn't a Activity Tracker):

I not understand how you can say it’s fine , when you first buy a edge 1030 so a FR 945 , and if you want to have the available readings, they first promote physio true up, and so force you to wear the watch to get those numbers. For me that not make sense.
But thank you for try help anyway , as i told you i have tried your methode, and on the wrist the fenix count steps during my ride, in addition to the unprecise heart rate sensor. If i put it on the handlebar, and use my heart rate strap i must start a activity, another special feature from the genious people at garmin, no connection to a strap without start a activity, then it will disconnect pretty fast.
IM are only found on watches, not Edge: https://support.garmin.com/en-CA/?faq=pNU9nnDzzGAHmEavp9rpY8. It is literally the 2nd paragraph. Read before you buy. If you’re really that burned up about not understanding this before you bought it or you are really passionate about it being included as a feature set, call Garmin to try and get it added to their product backlog.
NOTE: The Intensity Minutes feature is only found on compatible Garmin watches. Other fitness products such as an Edge cycling computer do not calculate intensity minutes during activity.
Hmmm. Updated to 6.00, and did a 90 minute test ride. Around 70 minutes in the device rebooted mid-ride and returned me to the "tap screen to continue" display. The ride was remembered and I just had to click the start button to resume it.
My 830 is a fair few months old but it has never rebooted or locked up mid ride before, so I'm a little nervous about this new update.
Longer ride tomorrow, so I guess we'll see what happens...
Had the same issue. The GPS Software was Stuck on 2.90 (with a "!" on the info screen) and Galileo was gone. Since on the edge there was nothing in the update-menu, I connected the Edge to Garmin Express. After syncing a couple of times and disconnecting the Edge, the new GPS Software was installed (note, I did NOT see this update on GE!). After this all was fine again, GPS+Galileo was back. Now, if they could solve this damn Wifi problem...!!!
Hi all, Last night I updated to 6.00. Tomorrow I started a ride and after 10 minutes my 830 lost satellites. I checked in settings and it was on GPS only. I selected GPS+Glonass (GPS+Galileo is missing) but it try to find satellites without success. I performed a reset but same issue. only for me?
Thank you for suggestion. I connected 830 to Garmin Express (uptaded to 7.1.2.0) and GPS version is 4.50. before was 2.90 (!). wifi issue me too.
UPDATE: I synchronized my 830 to Garmin connect android mobile app and I deleted and then re-entered the wifi network and now it connects
I am quite satified with FW 6.00 - everything (at least for me) that should work seems to working now. As examples:
- back to start navigation now doesn't crash anymore while calculating the route
- no radar disconnect anymore
- and especially (and I was afraid that it is still there like in last beta): remote connects again normally
Yes, i did a mistake. Since we live in 2020 i not checked that, took it for granted that it was supported. Learned a lesson, never count on anything with Garmin. Should be fun to hear their reason why not implement it. But with a app for ipad that fit the screen only verticaly etc etc, i guess that’s what i have.
