Had the same issue. The GPS Software was Stuck on 2.90 (with a "!" on the info screen) and Galileo was gone. Since on the edge there was nothing in the update-menu, I connected the Edge to Garmin Express…
Nothing about intensy minutes, nothing about the faulty physio true up. The device will remain in the box.
intensity minutes have nothing to do with Edge 830, it's part of a Garmin watch…
and True Up without Physio is something different, if you have multiple activity trackers (Edge isn't a Activity Tracker):

mine with 6.00 all the time disc !!!!
with beta no issue
This is only have the truth. There are a lot more devices wich give you intensity minutes than the few listed once wich are now actually. I scrolled back in intensity minutes report and can see them beginning in December 2015. This must have been the Fenix 3?
As f|33tStA proved and what I can confirm:
If you record a ride on your Edge 830 and only wear a Forerunner 945 on your wrist, it will give you Intensity minutes. You don't have to start any activity on the watch because its a 24/7 metric.
Yes could do. But i get vomit everytime i see that ***. So until the clowns at Garmin implement the intensy minutes ( Guess it never happen) it stay in the box. For me it looks totaly brain dead not to have them in the first place.
Since 6.00, my Edge shows that the EPO or CPE data is expired, although it seems like it was synchronized with GE (if I have a look at the change data of the CPE.bin file). Anybody else who has this issue?
i had this on the Beta, but i started with Indoor Profile without GPS, changed to Outdoor Profile and gone outside to get GPS Signal and then CPE was OK.
After FW Install you have to install the new GPS, normally there is a Popup after you plugin the Edge again to Garmin Express

I would say it's really up to you how you create your setup. From Garmin's side, it's fine with me overall, I wouldn't want it any other way!
there may be something wrong with the Fenix 6 firmware, but I can't judge that?
I am for sure one of the most critical users when something goes wrong with Garmin!
I had a wrong understanding of body battery (similar to intensity minutes), then I contacted @HermanB from Firstbeat, here cleared for me the missunderstanding:
It's my understanding that Body Battery on your FR945 is not impacted by data recorded with your Edge 1030. I also am pretty sure that you don' need to record an activity with your FR945 for your activity to be factored into Body Battery, so that's good news. You just need to be wearing your FR945. The fact that you are physically active and a degree of intensity are automatically detected and used to update your Body Battery along the way.
Hope that helped.

The map view does not change on my 830 when I toggle the switch. Do I have to restart every time? (e.g. Mountain.kmtf in the Map Themes directory is correctly named)
