FW 6.00

Thanks Matthew for having the FW 6.00 download available in your forum post! Grinning

  • for me yes, it is OK, i never seen a Intensity minutes promotion for Edge devices!

as i said, your problem looks like is your Fenix and not the Edge!

think logic, you want to compare apple (OHR) with Pears (Heart Rate Strap)

OHR is more designed for 24hr measurement during the whole day, like walking, sleeping and so on, if you do really sport you need a chest strep because it is more accurate.

If you record with both devices, your Training Load will go totally wrong, so it is not a good idea!

  • Yes, that’s rigt. And that’s why we have (or had) the true up,for steps, stairs etc.... Physio true up on the other hand is the metrics you get during a exercise.  Should be unnecesarry to use both simoultanously, as you not get any stair or step or whatever from the edge. My point is that for me it is more logical to leave the fenix home, charging or only stay on the table, and so sync when i come home, and the numbers fall nicely in place. What you think ?

  • you can try to pair your HR Strap to your Edge where you record the activty and make a test with a paired HR strap on your Fenix too but without starting an activty there, when you think the OHR measurement isn't good

The following data can be shared across compatible products and are kept in sync with Physio TrueUp:

    • VO2 max

    • Recovery Time
      • Recovery Time will only update when Physio TrueUp is enabled on all devices.

    • Training Status
      • Training Load
      • Training Load Focus
      • Heat/Altitude Acclimation

    • Race Predictor

    • Last Sport Widget2

    • Last Run/Ride/Swim Widgets2

    • Weekly and Monthly totals2
  • and True Up without Physio is something different, if you have multiple activity trackers (Edge isn't a Activity Tracker):

  • Yes, that was my point too. And to be honest, i can not see one good reason why it’s not featured on the «new» edge serie.

  • And Physio TrueUp requires a kind of same generation devices to sync "all": support.garmin.com/.../

  • Yes, with the same algorithm, that’s why i wrote « new» Edge. I don’t understand what they was thinking not includ this, but i guess ( hope i am wrong) we never see it . I have emailed them, but nothing back. ( surprise).

  • Yes, but Physio True Up and True Up are different things, True Up is for things that will be recorded 24hours 7days a week like an activty tracker and your Edge don't record 24hours 7days a week

That means Physio True Up is for things when you start and record an Activty

  • Maybe you not understood, but i speak about the intensy minutes, and that is missing on the Edge. And yes, i know very vell the different between those two, i’ve been a Garmin user for more than ten years.

  • i am sure, you understand it wrong, the intensity minutes is a 24hour day metric of your Fenix, when you activity of Edge is synced to Connect, then it will included in the Intensity minutes based on the Data of your Fenix
