I just did a warranty exchange on the edge 830. The prior one worked fine with the Pioneer dual sided PM. The new 830 is only reading one side of the Power meter. Do i need to paid the main PM # and the two single sided sensors?

To clarify, it was dual sided to start, then went single sided, then bounced back to dual a couple times, then back to single sided?

  • For me it is Pioneer issue, the left side is not broadcasting signal all the time, didnt get it wet? check the battery and battery cap, maybe it has no good contact or got water, check the battery pins , sometimes these dont contact well with battery.

it worked fine two days ago with my other 830. I just updated the firmware in the PM, and the 830, it calibrated without an error, so I'll check it out tonight.

  • these dual sided ANT+ power meters are working with "master and slave" mode, it means one of the side is master and another one is the slave, the slave is sending its data to master , and the master is sending the added up datas to the head unit. So here the slave to master (usually the right side is the master in dual systems) dataflow is faulty (if the power is also halved where the balance is going from 50% to 100% , if the power number is good but the balance is changing from 50 to 100 and back to 50 then that is could be any other issue)

Try to delete the paired sensor and repair them, sometimes it helps
