VO2 max

I just recently upgraded from an Edge 520 to an 830.

I took my first couple of rides on the 830 and my cycling VO2 max jumped from 37 ml/kg to 45 ml/kg.

I've checked and double checked that all my zones for both devices were based on the same FTP and % of Lactate Threshold for HR.

My running VO2 max from my Fenix 6 plus had calculated my running VO2 max as 46, so I always had a large running and HR VO2 max discrepancy.

What I don't understand is if my Power and HR zones for the 520 and 830 were exactly the same, why would one device all of a sudden calculate a VO2 max that is so vastly different from the other.  The power from the few rides I've done on the 830 is consistent with my historical rides and my FTP has not changed for the last rides I did with the 520.

I'm at a loss as to what would drive the change.

Any guesses mates?

Best.
