Edge 830, Varia RTL515, Bontrager RT lights

I have a new 830 (FW 5.50) , Varia RTL515, and Bontrager lights. I'm not new to Garmin Edge devices.

The 830 light network does not set up or function with both Garmin and Bontrager lights added to the device. Either brand works OK independently. The lights work together OK on a 820.

    I have this setup and it works for me, BUT since 5.50 I've had to set each independently...the "Auto" function doesn't seem to work properly.

    I have the same issue with a Garmin edge 1030 plus and varia 515 combined with bontrager flare rt. 

    Any idea of fix?

    I too have the same problem. I have rtl515 and bontrager flare front and rear. It won’t let me operate the front light in flash mode. I can pair both bontrager lights but as soon as I turn on the rtl 515 it disconnects both bontrager lights. It is so frustrating. It used to work with all three. All I really want to do is use the front bontrager flare and varia rtl515 but it won’t let me do that. Any advice would be appreciated

    I have the same problem I have a front and rear bontrager flare lights and a Garmin varia rtl515. I can run both bontrager lights together but as soon as I turn on the radar and it’s light the edge 830 disconnects both bontrager lights. Also when the front bontrager light is on it will let me select flash mode but won’t operate. Will only operate when I select solid mode.. this is so frustrating. They all used to work perfect together a few months ago. All I really want to do is use the bontrager front light, on flash mode, with my Garmin varia rtl tail light but it just won’t let me. Any advice is appreciated

    My issues were fixed with subsequent 830 firmware updates. I'm using FW 6.20 currently and the lights work as expected. I'd try removing and re-pairing all the lights.

    Ok I have just removed all of them and re-paired. Sadly still no luck. I can pair the Radar/light and it works fine but then when I add the Bontrager light it disconnects the Radar/light and wont form a light network. It does the same thing the other way around too, connecting the Bontrager light first things are good but when I try to connect the Garmin radar/light it disconnects the Bontrager light and wont connect anything. Not sure what else to try now??

    Thread is pretty old.  You guys still having the same issues?  or its cleared up?  was about to get teh 830 and was considering light + radar

    Some of the same issues still exist, my bontrager front light won’t sync with the radar and bombs out all other things (I’ve tried with another of the same light and same issue occurs). However the rear bontrager light works seamlessly. Despite this small issue the radar is the single best investment I’ve ever made in cycling and I’ve lost track of all the investments I’ve made. It’s the best device EVER
