Intensy minutes

Received a 830 from Clever training yesterday. Did my first indoor ride on the kickr today, everything worked as expected until i synced with Garmin connect. NO intensy minutes registered, normally with my fenix 6 that ride would give me around 160-170 . Is it possible that that they have made this thing without registering intensy minutes in indoor training, or is it the same when you ride outdoor ? Due to the current covid 19 it’s mostly indoor at the time. Can it really be possible that i have to use the fenix 6 simultaneously to get everything registered ? Must be a error with the unit, not even Garmin can make something that stupid. Anybody have some experience with this ?

  • Yeah, this is how ot works. One of many oversights...

I have to wear my forerunner when I go riding, and I activate a cardio workout and have it connected to my Wahoo Tickr. After the ride I just discard the watch activity but all the HR data is logged for the intensity minutes.

  • It's my understanding that the Edge series do not calculate intensity minutes. Search this forum and you will find several discussions about intensity minutes.

  • Amazing Garmin. D.C. Rainmaker is right, its the software that going to kill them. What a bunch of clowns. Thank you anyway for info.

  • The Edge computers are in my opinion still the best choice due to their many features. However, Wahoo is closing the gap.

  • In my opinion ( so far) it’s only ***. Then i take into considering that i was the owner of a Edge 1000 some two years ago. This look like money down the drain. In my head Garmin « true up» should update the statistics on the units, even if you buy a new unit should it be transfered, Well i followed Martin’s advice today, that went smooth, intensy minutes was registere and uploaded to Connect. But 7 days trainingload is way of, on my fenix it’s 529, the same in GC and Garmin web program,on the Edge it’s 364. Have synced both several times, tried to sync with Garmin express without luck. And yes, true up enabled on both devices. Garmin is number one on hardware, but unfortunately useless when it come to software.
