maps not showing on road screen

I recently got an Edge 830 and under Road, if I toggle thru the screens I can see the map (ready to navigate), but switching to the next option where the map is suppose to show up along with timer and avg speed, no map is displayed. I get the grid and 300Ft shows 0.50 miles but nothing shows up. i.e. the map doesn't show anything.

When I select navigate and browse map I see the map properly. and again if I'm in Road and select the map only I can see it properly. Only the map with the stats on the bottom I can't see the map.

how do I get the map to show up on this screen?

    I have the same issue too! ANY SOLUTION?!

    Update:

    the map shows up after reinstalled it (the map only)! Try to redo it by using Garmin Express!

    (ps cable could cost the connection error too!)
