how to find 810 Edge when it's switched off ?

Apologies, there's no 810 sub forum to ask this:

I've lost my 810......

Last ditch effort to find it....: Is there any method for locating it when its switched off (but still has remaining battery power)? . . . . at least to determine whether it is on my property (within blue-tooth range?) or somehow obtain its current gps position ( if further away) or even to determine if it's been used since (stolen) ?

Is there is any Garmin bike computer that has a 'locate me' feature when switched off (useful in any replacement unit i might buy soon) ?

Nope; the Garmin is in GPS passive and does not send its location.

If within bluetooth range (in your house) it could be connected thru your phone.

Yeah. No. If it's off, it receives or sends nothing. If on, and BT is enabled, you could possibly find it by walking around with your phone on its BT screen and see if it pops up as an available BT connection. Then you'd know you're getting close...maybe within 5-10m or so.

I lost a Edge when it popped off my bike and I wasn't using a lanyard. I always use the lanyard now.

Cheers for replies. Same as my thinking...if it's off, no chance of detection. It didn't come off the bike, it was just my most expensive lapse of concentration/memory!

I hate that! I lost my current favorite gloves last week by leaving them on my bike rack before I drove off and could kick myself. Losing a Garmin would, of course, be considerably worse.

In Connect mobile, the last connection with the Edge can be shown under Last Know Location. I have a 1030 but I would think the 830 would also work with that feature.

I'm looking at Connect on my Android phone and can't fine Last Know Location. Where is it in the app?

The OP is reporting a lost 810. I don't think the last known location feature is available for that device in GCM
