Edge 830 Not Updating to 5.50

Downloaded firmware link zip file for 5,50. Dragged unzipped file to Garmin folder on Edge device. Gupdate.GCD 2 shows in the Garmin folder on device but when I disconnect device and turn on no update occurs on device-nothing gets loaded. Tried everything. Any suggestions.

If it has a '2' appended to the name, you did something wrong. When you unzipped the file was there another file named GUPDATE.GCD in the same folder on your (Mac?) so that the new file got renamed with the '2' appended? It should just work if you follow the instructions for the beta.

Thanks for your response. Yes two files. Deleted those on the device and tried to install 5.48 with no execution of the update-similar to 5.50 install. Stuck on 5.10
