V 5.50 dropouts and spikes with Vector 3 pedals

First ride with new firmware and I experienced dropouts and spikes with my Vector 3 pedals. 

The battery is good.  I have previously been using the various beta's without any problems. 

Has this build introduced the problem?

    Today 170 km with new firmware and Vector 3. 0 problem

    Same problem today. As I have only had these problems since 5.5 Occum's razor would lead me to believe a bug in the firmware which has pretty much rendered my pedals useless. 

    If I download one of the older beta's will it override the new firmware?

    could there other things changed too, for example a silent connection to your mobile phone over BLT, mine works totally fine the last 2 rides on 5.50?

    I hadn't realised the BLE connection to my phone caused a problem and until I had a new phone a few weeks ago the pedal never automatically connected,  but the Samsung S10 does. 

    Someone else has told me about this and I have deleted the connection.  I'll try it again tomorrow. 

    Garmin should really either warn about this or prevent it being a problem. I only connected to my phone to update the firmware when I first got the pedals as initially they wouldn't update via my Edge.

    Deleting the connection to my phone has solved the problem. 

    It needs Garmin to change the set up instructions so that if,  like me,  you followed them and used Garmin Connect to update the firmware,  you delete the connection afterwards.  Unfortunately mine would not update from my Edge and this seems to be the case with others.
