Edge 830 Problem

Hi,

I have an issue with my Edge 830, it's less than a month old and been working fine until today. It won't turn on and when plugged into a power source i get this icon flashing:

Can anyone advise?

This could be a number of things. The unit is not charging because the voltage is too low.

Try a shorter USB cable if you are using a long cable.

Try a different power source if you are using a USB hub try the computer. If you are using a computer try a wall outlet.

If it still does not charge you will need to contact support for a replacement.

For anyone who finds this in future - it's basically dead. Garmin warrantied the unit for me and sent a new one.

I just did the same and while talking to support it flipped from blinking white lightening bolt to Garmin logo and showed 2% charge. Now its over 12%. So hold down power button for approx 30 seconds, release, plug in power and let it sit for a while and should start charging again. Support said not to let battery totally discharge (what happened to me), but also don't constantly charge it.
