Twice this week my 830 locked up when I stopped.
I noticed that it was during a pause when we stopped riding and it never restarted. The screen froze with the data screen showing the distance, time etc. of when it was paused.
I have had many Garmin devices and this 830 has had some glitches that most of the time a "reset' fixes it. The guys I ride with just want to ride and are not going to wait for my garmin to reboot so, I finished the rides with frozen screens. I did a reset when we finished the rides. In these cases the reset did allow for the device to operate again but, it lost all the data during the freeze and ended the ride at the time it froze.
Any ideas on how to correct this? I kinda like my data and it is important to me as why I purchased this in the first place.
