Restored Edge 830 to default, now GPS doesn't work

Hi, first post. Apologies if this has been answered before...I recently bought an Edge 830 and restored it to default settings. Now the GPS doesn't work. It constantly searches for satellites and still thinks it's in Kansas City (I'm in Los Angeles). I'm on the latest 5.10 firmware. Any idea how to fix this?

Also, what I've tried: Syncing up the 830 to my computer w/ Garmin Express, syncing to my phone via Garmin Connect, making sure GPS is turned on for my " road" profile, leaving it outside for 20 minutes or more, as well as power cycling the device multiple times. And yes, the GPS did work before I restored it to default.

I can only recommend you to try the latest BETA firmware (5.48) if nothing else works.

Ok, I installed the beta 5.48 firmware. I still can't get a correct GPS signal. Also, the EPO is missing on the 830. I tried deleting the Remote SW folder and syncing with Garmin Express but no joy. Is there a way to get that back?

If you go to the system about page, what version does it show for the GPS software? 0.0 by any chance?

Yes, 0.0 for the software.
