Route calculation error - routes loading very slow

Hello,

I've been having problems with my Garmin Edge 830 for the last 2 months. Every time I try to load a course I get an error. The Garmin starts calculating and at 99% I have my error and the process restarts, continuously. It's been a long time since I could follow a route.

My Garmin is updated (I'm using Open street maps ) - however the Garmin express is asking me to update trailforks and wants to download a new map.
I did hard reset the device but same problem is occuring. It also takes me too long to calculate the route. Can take up to 5 mins.

Any solutions?

Try to delete any of the maps you installed, re.install the original map and see if that resolves the issue.

I have exactly the same issue. Disabling the Open Street Map in the profile for an activity seems to fix it so I think it is struggling with that map?

The calculation is just for the turn directions so I have that map disabled for road where the Garmin maps are fine and enabled for MTB. If you don't need turn by turn (it's not that much use for MTB) you can turn it off.
