Chances of redirecting Varia Radar Alerts to the Phone

If the Varia Radar Alerts were redirected to the phone, the alerts would be louder than the Edge's tone. On top

that, other riders could also benefit at the same time from that alert. If the navigation commands go to the phone

why not Radar tones?

It seems crazy that this isn't possible. It feels safer to just use an app on my phone where I'll have the audio piped to my headphones.

I'm confused.

Why wouldn't you just pair the Varia with your phone & Varia app per the instructions in the user manual?

Sure, I can explain a bit. At it's simplest that breaks apart a cohesive ecosystem. The Edge is the integration point of the Garmin tech stack. I can certainly just use my phone directly and pair the Varia with it, or use another separate app to cobble together a solution. I can just use RideWithGPS or another app that provides maps and Varia alerts and visuals. I have options here, it's just crazy that the Garmin product doesn't integrate well.
