Activity with an asterisks (*)

Hello. Does anyone know why a couple of my activities stored on my Edge 830 have an asterisks (*) beside them?

Very curious indeed, could it be that they haven't uploaded to GC maybe?

intersting, that on this activities there is no bike symbol, you used different bike profiles?

anyway, never seen on mine!

Thought it might be physio true-up but looked at my 830 activities on my 1030 and there's no asterisk. Anything special about those activities?

The bike symbols are for indoor cycling activities. The ones without are outdoor rides. There was nothing special about them. I thought maybe it was for KOMs, but I did not KOM on anything, nor did I set any records. Garmin manual does not mention anything either. Is very curious.

Activities are/were in GC.

I don’t think so. Well I know I did not crash . Is that something I can check in the activity? I did get a message to contact my wife that I had to long press to clear while I was riding. I forget what it said but it’s the only time I have seen that. I reset my 830 a few weeks ago to resync all the data so I’ve had to find all the settings I disabled previously. Still had never seen a message to contact my wife before.

If you select the ride under history there should be an option to view nay reported incidents.

Could you post one of the activity files that shows with an asterisk?

Okay. Both have incidents reported. Weird. 0kmh crashes hurray Any idea what triggers them? A bump in the road when i stopped?

The indent detection uses the built in accelerometers. It can get a false positive when stopping if you hit a small bump then immediately stop. This might occur slightly more frequently when using an out-front-mount.

I've not seen this on my bikes, but this would be my best guess as to what is happening.
