Deleted activities not deleting from device.

I've deleted all the .fit files from the Activities folder on the device using a PC, and they have gone from there. When I look at the History on the device itself many of them are still there - how is this possible?

If I reconnect the device to the PC with a wire the .fit files are not there.

The Edge maintains a separate list of activities in addition to the activity files. If you delete the files while attached to your computer, you have not changed the activity list on the Edge and those activities will still be listed on the Edge. You need to delete the activities using the delete function on the Edge's screen.

Do the activities you see have a sports icon next to them when you view the ride history? If so they are activity summaries that are on the unit because Physio true-up is enabled.

These files are contained in the Garmin\Summary folder. You can delete them, but you will need to switch Physio true up off if you don't want them returning.
